Need help with an id, I think it maybe a afra cobue?

I'm not sure. Look around on link I sent. How big is it and has it always been that color? Demasoni have much bolder coloring and more stout bodies in IME

It's about 3-4in, im not too sure about it being a demasoni or saulosi. Sometimes its a dull grey color where the vertical lines are barely visible. It sometimes gets a purple/blue color with yellowish on the head, you can kind of see it in the pic.

Hmmm. So many types of fish look similar its tough. Not a saulosi though. I have some wild caught of those. Definitely nice though! Look thru the mbuna profiles on the link I posted. May get lucky!

Saulosi is where the link took me, I thought you ment that species in particular.

Oops sorry. Go back to the profile page and in drop down choose malawi and mbuna. It brings. ALL up
