new cichlid tank

Im thinking of making a cichlid tank and have a 29 gallon tank would I be able to put a gourami(blue) with about 2 cichlids (5"max) or are they incompatible?

They are incompatible and 5 inch cichlids shouldn't be put in a 29.

thank you I guess ill be staying on gourami since I don't really have enough money yet for a tank bigger that 40g
