I recently added a sulfur head to my batch and I noticed today 2 gashes on him. How would I treat this?

Clean water, then more clean water. If it get worse or infected you may need to use mess. I would throw soma aquarium salt in for good measure but others would say its unnecessary

I did the water change I noticed his tail was gone and gashes on his body and was slow swimming. While I was doing the water change I accidentally sucked him up in the python vacuum 
I felt horrible. Unfortunately he didnt make it. And I really liked him. He regained his color when I put him in tank, he was all silver when i purchased him I think because he was the new guy but I didnt see anyone bothering him.
