I so it's been a week since I moved. My fish seem to be adapting well they are all eating and getting along. They like the new set up and substrate. The only issue is my jd is still extremely pale. She is usually so dark in color and now she looks so drained of color. She still has all her blue specials everywhere but the dark undertone is now pale. It that because she is still adjusting to the new home and fish I added or is it because the substrate is now a whitish sand and not black stones?

It's likely from the substrate. My JDs are the same way. On a light substrate they will have a silver/pale color and on dark substrate they'll be almost black. The only other time they darken is when they are ready to start breeding.

Ok. I figured as much. Since she is acting normal. She just looks like a total different fish. Still beautiful just completely different.
