Got him today! Does that look like one has anyone had one before?

I never had one but yours is definitely a spinsilum. Nice looking fish, what size tank it's in and what other fish is he housed with? They get big and pretty aggressive.

I had one that was almost identical. I grew it out to about 4" in a 55 gal CA tank and it colored up gorgeous by that size. I think it was a female I can't remember now

Yeah shanefish and I were talking couple weeks ago he is the one who I learned what an awesome fish this was. It has been a quest to find one ever since. Found him in Lockport ny had to drive hour and half to get him... If anyone lives there highly recommend pets plus in Lockport ny!
