New to cichlid 40G Breeder Build

Hello, i'm in the process of planning for my 40G breeder. This will be my first time keeping cichlids. I have been doing my research for the past two weeks or so. I want to build around Otopharynx lithobates Yellow Blaze (Zimbawe Rock) because those are the ones that caught my eyes and I can get access to them. I can get them in quantity of 5 as unsexed juveniles. So as far as tank mates goes should I keep them in a species only tank because it’s only a 40G Breeder or what could be my options as tank mates.

Personally, I really enjoy species only set ups. The fish sometimes color up better and you see how they interact better than if there are other fish there.

Also, if anything breeds, you get to see multiple generations. This is very enjoyable.
