I bough a pair of kribensis with in a week the male had died with out warning i returned to the shop from witch i bought the fish and had a sample of my water tested all was good. I replaced the fish and things were good for a couple of days until they started to breed last night. they had layed eggs in one of the cave i have and were guarding it from the tetras I have in the tank with them but again my male died with out warning i woke up this morning to a dead fish the female is still guarding the nest but is throwing white eggs out of the nest the. The eggs i can see in the cave are brown. So my questions are is the female behaving normally and just cleaning up no good eggs and what could be killing the male kribensis aney advice would be appreciated.

What are your parameters? ammo?nitrite?nitrate? temp? ph?
do you know what cycling is? have you done it?

the tank has been set up and running for about 3 years so it has definitely cycled the temp is 76, amon is 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 15 ppm, ph 7.5
