Eight fry survived the last batch. The male killed the female in a fit one day, and took her fins and tail before I could do a thing. I traded him for a Hammer's Cobalt Blue lobster and, with the Pleco, makes ten inhabitants in the tank. The eight are just large enough to cast a decent shadow on things now. The Hammer molted right after I brought him home, and is happy that the only one he has to deal with is the Pleco for now. Hope to have another larger tank running before the Nicos get large enough to harass the crustacean.

They are too fast for him. At this size they can co-habitate, the Nicos will eat him before too long after they get bigger. I should have a larger tank by then
