Any and all suggestions on how to reduce nitrate levels..I do regular water changes& need to keep hardness in my African tank so ro water is out.

Plants can help. How high are the nitrates? The PWCs you do will lower them usually, unless your tap or well water has nitrates.

if it is ur tap... u may have to start treating the water before you fill ur tank back up...

It got up to 15 ppm,my tap contains nitrate. I also have plants in the tank&always pretreat the water before aadding it to the tank..
