What size tank do you have? Don't use pinky mice or rats at all really isn't healthy and makes a huge mess.
I would go buy a high quality pellet soon like omega one cichlid pellets or new life spectrum cichlid pellets. Make sure the first ingredient is fish meal or whole shrimp and has at least min 35% crude protein. Feds that as a staple food meaning feed them that 4 out of 7 days of the week. Then feed them each a bloodworm cube 1 day and feed either red wiggles, crickets, or ghost shrimp 1 other day of the week. Make sure to skip one feeding a week so they can clear their system out to.
