oscars try to eat turtle. help?

I bought a snapping turtle yesturday. His shell is about 1.6" by 1" (guessing). I put him in my 55 gallon with my two oscars. They were trying to eat him so I removed him. Any way to make sure they do not eat him?? Anything helps.

Don't put him back in. That simple.

Well at the pet store they had turtles with other fish and they said just put him in and watched closely. I didn't know if there were any tricks that could help .

Oscars will pretty much try and eat anything they can

Some Petstores will say anything to make a sale.

You did watch closely, it DID NOT work !

Return the Turtle and research before you buy !!
