Parrot Blue Rams?

So I ventured out to a new fishstore (which was AMAZING) and I ran across a tank filled with "parrot blue rams." They were identical to german blues in color, but their shape was more... blood parrot. I asked the guy what the difference was and he said there wasn't really much difference between GBR's and the ones they had.. other than they must have been bred with some other type of cichlid.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this type thing? I was tempted to buy a pair because they were REALLY nice looking but they were a little out of my price range at the moment. That, and I'd be afraid to buy something that has been crossbred.

Sounds kinda like a balloon, but I am sure you have seen those, right?

Thats what I thought when I first saw them, but I wasn't sure if there was some other difference.

I am sure you saw Baloon Rams. They are the same species as GBR's, just a different "morph". They have been around for a while. There have been several topics within the last few weeks about these fish.
