Peas? Any specific type?

Thinking about feeding my fish some veggies, they have had broccoli before and loved it but I've heard peas clean them out, any specific type I should use and should they be prepared any type of way? Just like to do something different from the ordinary diet occasionally

I fed my cichlids peas a few times. They were frozen and I microwaved them for a few seconds and peeled the shell. They seemed to like them but it makes a mess in the tank so I would do it before a water change.

You can always mash them and roll em into a ball and into flakes or granules. This way it's more appealing and easier to eat for some fish.
