Just got my 55 set up to be my temporary grow out tank for my Placidochromis Phenochilus that I am going to pick up after work! It's currently silent cycling with a filter and plants from another tank. All I need to do is get some rocks and some lights.

It clouded up again when I tried to even out the sand/crushed coral. I'll add pictures of the fish when I get them.

Excellent looking forward to seeing the fish :)

Wont be till later this evening but I will put some up! I am just lucky that I could get a 55 and scrounge up enough stuff around the house so I could get the tank set up running on like 3 days notice so I could pick up some of those Beauties.

Just got the rocks in and the little guys and gals are drip acclimating.

There are some that are still lighter but I have a feeling those maybe my females.

Thanks, I was very pleased with the way rocks turned out. I went to a local landscaping place and got about 75 pounds of "Blueberry Basalt" for $15 bucks including tax.

Wow just googled these and it says they will take about 4 years to fully colour up and the pics I've seen of adults look amazing. The female looks great too :)

Yep they constantly change over a number of years and are very stunning when they mature.

These fish have already become a favorite of mine, they are always out in the open and are very active, nothing really seems to startle then, they also already recognize me as their food source and boldly swim up to the glass when I come near.
