I have a 36 bow front tank and I will be doing a species tank of Neolamprologus pulcher ''Daffodil''. I am wanting to also include plants but I am finding it hard to find plants sold commercially that can handle the higher pH requirements. What kind of plants have worked in everyone's tanks. I live in the middle of nowhere so I will also need to order the plants. Thank you for your help.

I had many many Anubias plants and java fern. Probably 50+ and they did fine in my mixed 75g African Cichlid tank UNTIL they matured and started nipping at them.

They tore them apart and it was making a mess in my tank and filter.

So... My answer would be this:

Plants although may work for a certain time I think in the long run it will be a waste of money. Of course this is just my opinion and ONLY based on my experience.
