Process of renewing my tank ( Step one) Find everything about about Cichlids

Helllo AA!,

I'm pretty new to his hobby and I have chosen to go with the Cichlids. I like their color and behavior. I need some help thought. I just don't want to fill my tank with just cichlids and I'm having a hard time picking out which ones I want. I don't want to do the cookie cutter one, but if anyone knows a guide or site that goes over all the different kinds that would be great!

thanks! I'll post pictures once tank is up and I like how it looks. I'm very picky

This is a site that I use quite often... www.cichlid-forum.com on the left margin is profiles. In that section it tells you all about the different species and has pictures of all of them at different stages of life.

Good site, but the problem I'm having is there so much information and so many point of views.

well Cichlids is a very large family. its kind of like saying i want to find out everything about cars or airplanes. yes there going to be different views on things but the basics are not really being called into question.
