I have 3 large males, 1 regular and 2 pinks. I had a female that mated with my regular convict. After they had their fry I put the female in with one of the pink ones. He ended up killing her. So now I have 50 or so babies. All I want is 3 females. When they are little you can not tell the sexes, so how many convict do I have to keep to ensure that I get 3 females? 15, 20. I don't have room for all 50. Any ideas?
Thanks

Wait till they get a inch or so. You can tell the female has that orange collar. But I read that you mix them up and crossbreed so it would be hard to tell. Only if the black convict fry or pure bred you can tell soon witch is male ore female. I had fry and new fry just hatched. They or fine for now I had them in my 55 gallon tank. And had over 30 fry. After they were 2 inch I could sex them in a beat. Good luck
