My ram fin looks like it's been chewed up. Mostly on one side fin by the gills. He is acting ok and is eating but I have treated him with pimafix and melafix plus tetrycylcline and no help. Any suggestions as to what this is and how to clear it up?

Clean water works wonders for fin damage. Keep up on those water changes.

I have actually brought home badly beaten up oscar fish, and by doing water changes and salt only, have brought these fish back from the dead, everyone is different,i personally dont like any type of chemicals
In my tank, and if i ever used would do so only in a "hospital" tank, remember when using medication to remove your sponges
From you filter
