Aquarium Advice Freak
Any thoughts on how to sex a red empress? They are about 2" long and still very silver. We bought 3 hoping one would be a male since they are so pretty.

At only two inches they are still to young to properly sex, the males will start to develope pointed dorsal and anal fins where as the females are rounded, plus the coloration will start and is drastically different. At that size you could try venting them as well, if you feel comfortable here's a link with some pics of different vents.
