Hi my fish is about 2.5 in. Is it my wishful thinking or do you see darkening/ bluish color on his head. I know it's harder to see in pics. I don't have the best lighting anyway..

Are you talking about Protomelas taeniolatus?! If so then that's not a peacock it's a large growing Hap from lake Malawi.

To small to tell, they do hit 8-10" and can be pretty nasty.

Again, he's tiny so waiting for color it is lol it sucks but once you know it's awesome.

I'm keeping these guys from juveniles, right now he doesn't chase any others, but I know that can change with maturity. We're shopping 6 footers now. Hoping for the best!

Definately too small to tell right now. Will just have to wait and see as it matures.
