Seeding canister

Hi I got my filstar xl today and will be taking down one hob filter and replacong it w this. Question is can I cut up sponge from hob and use in one of trays along w bio max that's from hob too or do I just use bio max? Biostars came w it too but I wanna add something that's been running for months too in the baskets. Thanks for help

You can run both filters for a month or you can transfer the media from one to the other. Either way works.
