Shellies in a 12"x12" rimless

I have no experience with Shellie's just figured I'd throw this out there.
 
You could keep ONE pair in a 12"x12". IMO, shellies require at least 20gal for a good size colony.

Yeah I figured as much any better suggestions I can seem to think of anything interesting to keep in there.

Some nano fish would look great. My two favorites are celestial danios and scarlet badis (one or the other though, not both)

Planted cubes look great

I have a mix of gold and blue neons and two brachygobius xanthomelas. They were an experiment because someone said they couldn't keep them alive. In thinking about planting it out and getting 5 more of those. Maybe some of those danios you suggested and ex the neons.
