So my duboise cichlids died last night

So my duboises died last night for no particular reason......? Any ideas

I acquired a dozen a while back and One harassed the rest till only one was left.

There was no physical damage either.

Not alone. Several other Africans. They were in perfect condition. The temp has been up to fight ich. Just did a water test and apparently my ammonia has spiked, but everyone else is doing good. They were the larger fish in the tank
