Im currently in the process of splitting up my multies. Right now, I have two colonies (if you even wanna call them colonies). One has several females and a male, the other has one female and a male. What I plan on doing is splitting up the colonies by taking the females that have been bred by one male and the male from the other colony and moving them to another tank, and hoping that the lone female will join the others and breed with the other male. I've already removed the red wag platy fry and the betta from my 10g planted tank and am in the process of moving them now. I'll post pics of the move shortly. Worst case scenario would be that they stay split up and I have to move them back to their original colony (crossing my fingers). Any suggestions on anything else?

Alright, no fishy pics right now, they're all still hiding in their shells from the move... but here's their new home anyways...and the last two pics are of their original home

They finally came out this morning... I moved a total of 6 females and one male over to the new tank. I think this whole idea worked out, they all seem to be one big happy colony in each tank now :)
