Hi,for Christmas I'm getting a fluval Venezia 190 (42g).I want to keep African cichlids(Mbuna) I have some questions?

What sort of rock do I need?

Will they breed regularly?

Will they out grow the tank?

How manny litres does my filter need to cover?

Sand or thin gravel?

How manny water changes per month?

What do I feed them?

How manny times do I feed them?

How much do I feed them

I hope you can give my some information it would really help out.

Let's see Texas holey is the most used rock for mbuna.
They will breed if you have both male and females.
You should have at least a 55g. Tank for mbuna unless you go with a dwarf species.
I say sand.
You should be doing at least 1 water change a week at 50%.
I feed NLS but there's plenty good options for mbuna.
You should feed maybe twice a day, be generous but don't over due it the more food in the tank the more water changes and extra nutrients for algae.
