Still water?

My bolivian tank has this thin clear film floating on top of it. Does this mean the water isn't moving enough? Would an air pump help? There are 4 bolivians in my 20 gal along with 2 cory catfish, 1 platy and 2algea eaters. What should I do? I waited 2 months to get these fish and I really don't want to lose them, help!!!!

You need more surface agitation, not necessarily water "movement". Do you not have any air stones or wands or anything like that? You really need to add some if not. It helps with the oxygen in the water. It will also take care of your film on the surface issue.

I think an air pump would def. work... but if you are using a HOB filter you can just decrease the water level some so it "splashes" into the water.

Ok I have a HOB filter and today is water change day anyway so I will def. lower the water level. Thanks!
