Stocking question for 27g tank...

I'm thinking of putting 1 female convict cichlid (I like the colour and shape of females better, plus they are smaller than males), with a bristlenose catfish, in a 27g cube tank.
Any other bright coloured fish that doesn't get too large, and can handle the convict, that I could put in? Or would that be overstocking?

I have a couple Honduran Red Points. They are a bit smaller, tamer, and colorful than a convict, but simi shape and markings. Mine are still real young, but I'll upload a couple pics for ya.

The above is one I think could be female. The one below is definitely male.
