Afternoon everyone,
I've not been on here for some time, been couped up on a reef specific forum. Any way, I'm in the process of breaking down my marine tank and returning to freshwater.

I love malawi mbuna and used t get great pleasure from a mbuna set-up a few years back, but my Osaka 155 just isn't big enough:(, so I'm after inspiration for the Osaka.

Would the Osaka be big enough for a Tanganyikan cichlid set-up for the likes of Neolamprologus leleupi and friends, and perhaps a pair/trio of small shell dwellers?

Advice please

Your tank is 24"x24", not a good footprint for more than 2 species of substrate spawners.
In any case leleupi are not a good fish to mix with shellies, they're simply too aggressive. You could do a pair of Calvus or comp's, they're pretty mellow in general and don't claim a large territory.
Julidiochromis transcriptus would also work with shellies, or Neolamprologus buescheri.

thanks for the feedback,
Think I'll probably go with south american dwarfes then.
