Should I get a 29 gallon saltwater reef, or a 40 gallon African cichlid tank?

Saltwater reef, if your gonna do a cichlid tank id say start with a 55 gallon

How about 40 gallon reef? The 40 breeders have a better footprint for aquascaping.

My friend who lives next door has a 40 gallon reef and it is the perfect footprint. 40 gallon reef is the way to go.

Easy question, both lol. Pick up a 40 and a 55 during the $/gallon sale and set up a 55 cichlid tank and a 40 reef.
