Your inbox is full... I can post a pix of the black blasting sand when the lights come on. Just got home from out of town and dont wanna wake the pigs... I have some before and after pix in my photo album. I got mine for like 4$ on sale at tractor supply but think reg price is 7-8$ for 50#. I'm really happy with it and have had zero prob. Fish seem to be happy they dig in it just fine :) and water is always clear and param are fine with it.
 
Here are some pix, not sure if they show what u want, only have my fon camera.
As you can see in one they have no prob digging, lol.

Seeing this reassures me a lot actually
I'm going out tomorrow to look for a bag & test it out myself hopefully I don't have problems with it either
 
I don't see why not... I didn't plan in changing my substrate if I got discus... It would really make their color stand out.

But I'm going to put a hold on the discus & just make it a bichir planted tank
Once I find the sand I'm going to get on it
