Hey guys going on a vacation Friday thru next Saturday. And was wondering what would be the best way to feed my fish. I'm going to do all the basics like a water change and ect. Should I just get a automatic fish feeder that feeds small amounts two times a day? Thanks.

I use an auto fish feeder. If you do get one, test it overnight before you go.

Ok cool thanks. I'm going to paper test it to see how much it puts out first. And then go off that. I think my filtration will be ok to handle a bit more food. My stock is kinda under stocked as is. So that helps.

This sparked an interesting debate last time it was brought up. I would use the feeder but do once daily feedings of less than you typically do. Maybe half the usual amount just in case anything goes haywire you have less food to pollute the water.

I found using small pellets gave a more consistent dose compared to flakes.

I used a weekend fish block feeder in the small tank but the filter flow rates are too high in the DT and the feeder blocks dissolve in a day or so.
