weird floaty

Ok so we were feeding are.African cichlids all.of a sudden we see a white mucous come.from.a.fish no idea.what it is any thoughts

Did it spit it out or poop it out?

No idea I just looked over and it was in the chaos of my fish.eating I thought maybe sperm or something Idk

The only thing I can think of is maybe an undeveloped batch of fry? African's commonly breed, right? I've never kept them so i'm not sure... Only thing I can think of so just throwing that out there. I know of platies and mollies doing things like that.
