What is my cichlid doing?

I am a new owner of 2 bumblebee cichlids! There currently in my other tank until there new home is cycled. I have never had these fish before and i have a question. Ok i have one little bridge ornament in with them! He keeps picking up rocks by the bridge and moving them they have made a hole in the gravel! I was just wondering what they are doing?

That is normal cichlid behavior They will dig areas out to make more room to sit in. My salvini clears out under a stump every time I rearrange the tank then he sits under there.

They are making homes to live and hide in very normal behavior. Mine dig out spots all over the tank like that very cool to watch them in action
