whats with the Electric Blue Jacks?

It use to be that the males had pointy fins and the females had rounded fins. Nowadays you have to compare the spangled on their heads. I just googled it and that's what i found. I dont know myself.

I had a 3" EBJD for 2 1/2-3 years in a 30g then 65g, never grew and never left the bottom coner of my tanks. He ate like a pig, fought off bigger fish, and looked very healthy. But he just didnt grow and one day he was dead, with no damage to his fins of gills. Very strange.

shesh sounds like a regular jack is the better fish

Well...much hardier, but not as striking. EBJD also stay smaller and are more timid. But thats if they last long enough to prove it.

Some people have compared full grown EBJD to unicorns....enough said.

Unicorns?! I've never even seen-- oh...
Well I'm glad I inquired because now i know not to get wrapped up in the ebjds. They are gorgeous fish but clearly not worth the hassle. Ill admire them at the fish store and leave them there.
