Where should I get my Rocks for my African Cichlids

It's a 55 gallon tank. I am thinking of going to Home Hardware to pick up the rocks, I cannot afford to spend 100 dollars at a pet store. What kind of rock should I get?

Yeah, finding good rocks was a nightmare. I found the best bet was sneaking onto some train tracks if you have them nearby for some nice sized grey stones. Just wash them well if you do

Go to a local land scaping company you can get about 100lbs of most rock for under $20. If you are collectioning them yourself make sure the area you are getting them from is clear of pollution and chemicals.

Find a local garden supply /landscape dealer. They usually have piles of loose rock for about 30 cents a pound.
