White electric yellow chiclid?

Why is my Electric yellow chiclid losing color? It was healthy in the store. Still active swimmer but discolored.

Did you just get him? Maybe it's acclimating. Also what are your water parameters? If water conditions are poor that could be a reason.

Fish tend to fade in color when they are first introduced to a new tank and stressed. Im not sure if it should be white though, that sounds odd. Do you have a pic?

No sorry it already turned yellow.
