I have an Oscar and it's missing some of it's coloration on the top of it's body. It is 1.5 inches big. Will it come back by itself, do I have to do something, will it come back at all. Please help.
Also what type if fish is the other I was told that it's a Jack Dempsey / Texas cichlid hybrid. But I'm not sure .

Thanks

sometimes fish lose theyre colors when they are stressed, when it calms down it usually comes back. idk much about oscars though so idk if its different with them

Any type of cichlid will display different colors/patterns depending on a variety of factors. Mood, lighting, color of the substrate are just a few. Frozen bloodworms and spirulina-based flakes are good foods for enhancing color, and NLS pellets are an excellent staple diet that also brings out colors well.
