2.5 pico reef tank

I would like to turn my 2.5 gallon freshwater tank into a saltwater tank sometime in the future, but I have no idea where I would begin the transfer. As in what type of fish and/or inverts would be good for this small of a tank, how much live rock, corals, filters and filter sizes, and if I would need a power head. I have live sand in the freshwater tank already too so would that work for saltwater or do I need something else?

nothing freshwater is transferable to saltwater.
