So for fathers day my wife bought me a Deep Sea Aquatics Neo Nano frag tank! New led lights are in the mail and the cycle has begun! Thought id chronical the build. It came with a sump and pump and ive put in a Cad light pipeless skimmer that hasnt broken in yet. The evaporation is insane so im gonna get an auto top off soon as it loses a gallon a day. The waterfall is pretty cool though...

30 gallon display with 10 gallons in the sump. Ya its a really cool set up, I've never seen anything like it. It's designed for top down viewing as the suface is very smooth although still moving all the time because of the 2 overflow intake boxes. Pretty smart design. Now I just have to figure out what to put in it? I'm thinking for fish just a pair of designer clowns then pack it with coral...

You can get this little floating glass viewer things that sit right on top of the water and have a glass bottom so you can see through the ripples. No idea what they are called or where you get them, but one would be pretty easy to make. They have them in the tanks at premium aquatics, not sure if they sell them though.

Ya my local frag store has one. With the smooth surface on this tank though you dont need one...

So between the open surface, open sump and the waterfall return I'm loosing 1 gallon a day in evaporation! I can't keep that up manually so after work i'm picking up an auto top off. This tank should have come with one, a gallon a day is nuts.

Auto top off installed and running great! LED lights arrived today and are being set up tonight, i'll post some pics later...
