Haven't seen much on this forum as far as the new line of Aqueon nano tanks go. I purchased the 8 gallon model about a month ago and it's doing great so far. If anybody has any questions regarding this line of tanks feel free to ask. I would highly recommend them!

Added a couple new corals. Got a frag of green star polyps and a purple Xenia. Leather coral still doing great. Have to say that the stock light on this tank does a better job than I would have though with these corals.

Prior to adding anything else I would get a handle on the hair algae. It is also a sign that your nutrients are too high.

Yea I've heard that before! However it doesn't seem to be hurting anything in the tank and it provides me hermit crabs with food. What's the downside to it?

It will eventually over grow your corals.

They have seemed to do an adequate job so far. I was planning on replacing it eventually however. I added my green star polyps earlier in the week and as soon as I turned my light on the next morning it's polyps immediately came out and stayed out as long as the light was on. I figured that was a good sign.

Ok so several of you have warned me about the hair algae growing in my tank. I can happily say that the problem has now been taken care of. I removed the heavily affected rocks and added new Fiji live rock. I think I like to new aqua scape better now too. I reattached my corals and they are slowly coming back out to view. Here's a couple pics.
