Hi all,

Have a 14g biocube up and running for about a year.

Currently I have live rock and filter floss in the 2nd compartment- just wondering if I would be better off with something else in there?
I want to focus on perfecting my water peramiters and keep everyone happy.
Here is what my current readings on my tank are:

Temp: 82.3
SG: 1.025
Nitrate: 20 ppm - its been this high since i started the tank!?!
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm
PH: 8.0 - working on bringing that up.

Also I will have to purchase bulb replacements in the next month, I've been doing some research on MH or LED and I'm on the fence. Has anyone seen the retro kit on eBay for the BC 14g ? Do you think it's worth the money? Anyone have any experience with it!?

Thanks for the help!

Given your current temp with stock lighting I wouldn't try a MH mod. Someone recently did a BC29 LED mod that looks nice.

I got 2 12k white/blue combo pro's and 1 white/blue stunner strip for the sunrise/sunset. Also 2 power supply's so I could time the lights different. 1 splitter to run both pro units on the same power supply. I might add 1 more all blue stunner strip in the future. Installation was easy, took about an hour to make the swap. Still able to run the stock fans also.
