Not like there is anything wrong with my tank at this point but I would like to know what you Biocube owners have done with the sponge that lies on the bottom of the filter in the back of the tank. I know a lot of you have removed the bio balls and replaced that with rubble ( I haven't got around to that yet) but what have you done if anything with the sponge that lines the bottom

i just kept it there. why is there something your supposed to do with it?

I don't think so, but that's why I'm asking. My LFS suggested I take it out and clean it in clean salt water but that would be virtually impossible to place back in as it runs the length of the bottom of the filter. I've taken out the one filter in the power head compartment and just removed the bioballs (replaced with live rock rubble) and that's it.
