Anyone familiar with the behavior of the blood red fire shrimp? I know they're nocturnal and like to hide, but the one I got 2 days ago seems to have found a spot it likes and hasn't ventured far from it. It hasn't eaten the pellet food either. We only have 3 corals and the shrimp so far. Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

Well i read your other thread about your lights being on for 24 hours and i think that would effect your shrimp. They will hide for a few days, but they usually scavange for food and venture out into the tank at night when the lights are off...but he hasent been able to do that yet ;) soon he will come out during the day, but for the most part shrimp prefer to stay hidden. :) good luck

Thanks. We're new to this and hearing tons of different things to do! It's a bit overwhelming getting it right! We're going to turns he lights off and see if it helps!
