my tank has been up for awhile and i have this awsome rock that had some algae on it. Didnt worry about it till it took over half the rock. Looked it up and im sure its bryopsis. Is there anything i can do to kill it? any thing would help at this point.

Thanks in advance

Good luck! I had my experience with this nasty stuff about a year ago. There was no one thing that got rid of it... just a lot of water changes (every 2-4 days), added phosban, purigen, and carbon to suck out any impurities in the water and phosphates. I also reduced my lighting to around 4 hours a day. Aggressive manual removal and the above worked well for me. At one point, when I decided to fight to the death, I took out every rock in my tank that I could and scrubbed it with a stiff brush to remove any and all of the algae...then rinsed in clean saltwater (mixed to proper salinity and such) and then put it back.

Took a few weeks but eventually it went away and hasn't come back.

Best of luck! Welcome to AA :)
