I have just finished my cycle and added 3 turbo snails, 3 blue legged hermits and a cleaning shrimp. There is a good supply of algae which needs clearing. Will the cleaning shrimp need feeding or will there be enough natural food?

You need to add a fish if the cycle is over. Either that, or just feed the shrimp. Some sort of ammonia source will be needed to keep your bacteria colony alive.
