Coral Open Mouth

What's does this mean? Why is the coral doing it? It's a Blasto Coral.

Most likely it is either expelling waste or feeding. It is open all the time? How long has it been in your tank?

It was open for couple hours then went back to normal. I have had it for several days now. Only thing that's different since last night is I put a phosphate removal media in my filter as well as purigen; birth are supposed to help if anything. Thanks for your input.

One of my clowns has been swimming around this coral this whole evening and one of the coral heads opened its mouth since the clown started courting it.

This is all new to me and I am just amazed. I'm getting attached to my clowns. My two gobies are amazing but these clowns are very special to me.
