Cyno Busters, na na ... na na na ... Cyno Busters - Aquarium Advice

any suggestions on busting the cyno in my tank. my understanding is that (like diatoms in the FW tank) cyno is normal for a new tank. but it looks gross on the glass and on the sand. does anything eat it? i have uped the current by adding a powerhead. but the reddish pink film on the glass is just annoying.

Cyano in a tank, of any age, is not a normal thing. Diatoms in a SW are normal and will burn themselves out. Cyano... not so. Here's a good article...

The key is getting rid of excessive nutrients (nitrates/phosphates).
