i have a total of 48 watts of light in my 12.5 gallon saltwater aquarium. wanted to eventually get anemones..
i dont think its enough, what do you think ?

:p

I agree with Kurt. CP light just doesn't have the intensity that most anemones need to be happy. T5 may be a better otion

Along with getting better lighting (T5's or MH or both), I would recommend getting a bigger tank. A 12.5 is too small for ANY of the clown hosting anemones. You could keep rock anemones (E. crucifer) but your tank is, in general, too small. If you did get a small one, you could keep it in the tank temporary but the nem would need to be given a bigger tank, not only for space, but also for stability of water parameters.

I agree with the above. Not the right light or large enough tank for an anemone. Maybe check out euphyllia corals. They're "anemone-like" and much easier.
