Help! A fish star grew out of my Live Rock

A small star just grew out of my LR is this bad or good? I read about some stars arent harmless to the corals but other ones they eat coralline ! Can someone help me to distinguish between the good n the bad?

It is tough to tell from the pic. It could be a chocolate chip? Most starfish are not reef compatible and will eat coral. I would consider removing if you cannot get a 100% positive ID.

Asterina Starfish are considered harmless although some have reported they eat Coraline Algae.
