Help ! beginner

Hello everyone , I just got a Resun MiniMoon 15 gal. tank. water and sand are already in and salinity levels are on rage. But I'm having a hard time figuring out how this water pump/filter works since this thing didnt come with instructions. I already got the inflow tube and the water pump mounted but on the top of the tank there is like an outflow small tube that shoots the water into a little basket that has a removable tray with holes , also the tank came with a white long cloth that i think it may be some sort of filter and also came with a packet with small black stones , my question is , where do i put all this ? does the cloth goes underneath the removable tray with holes or on top of it ? and where do the black stones go ? thank you very much for any help you all can provide.
